DUBAI - Dr Ali Abdul Aziz Al Sharahan, Minister of Education And Youth (MoEY) approved yesterday the names of UAE national candidates for teaching posts for the academic year 2003-2004. The number of candidates is 324, including three male teachers.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education has completed the finishing touches to the organising structure of small educational zones, which will have two deputies for the director of each zone. The new structure will be applied on small educational zones such as Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, Western Area, and Ajman. These educational zones include twelve departments which will have two deputies for the Director-General.
The biggest educational zones - Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Al Ain - will include fifteen departments and three deputies for the Director-General.
Sources in the Ministry of Education said the biggest educational zones have got a third deputy because of the increase in the number of private schools. The sources added that each educational zone with more than fifty private schools will have a third deputy.
