DUBAI — The Mohammed bin Rashid School of Communications will educate journalists with an outstanding command of the Arabic language to strengthen the Arab media sector.
This was stated by Elias Bou Saab, Executive Vice President of American University Dubai (AUD) after the launch of the media school in Dubai yesterday.
He explained that the school would start its classes in September for the academic year 2008-2009.
“The American University in Dubai has been working relentlessly, alongside media specialists in the United States and some of the exceptional American universities in this connection.
“The curriculum offers an unsurpassed quality of education in the different fields of journalism, radio, TV, cinema studies and new media subfields,”he added.
Dr Jihad Nader, provost and chief academic officer, elaborated on the nature of the agreement with the University of Southern California and discussed the admissions requirements set by the new school.
