DUBAI — As part of the specialised assessment programme, the e-Competency Centre, a part of Etisalat Academy, recently held two training sessions in association with the British SHL Group. The sessions focused on employee assessment and development.

The fourth and fifth batches in 2006 included 35 executives comprising Human Resources Department heads, senior managers, and employee development specialists.

Dr Doaa Fares, General Manager, Etisalat Academy said: “The academy is always in the lead when it comes to showcasing the latest techniques of employee assessment and development, especially at the professional level. The programme focuses on the application of the best modern techniques and approaches in employee testing and surveying, which in turn would help identify the right candidate for the job. The results from the tests and surveys will help the Human Resources Department ensure the right staffing,” he added.

The participants of the programme witnessed first hand, the importance of applying employee assessment principles in staffing, career growth, and employee development.
