DUBAI - Dubai Municipality has begun the implementation of the Government Resources Project (GRP)
Which aims at unification of main systems of local departments of Dubai Government - including financial operations, personnel, fixed assets, purchases, stores, cash and dues.
This was announced by Abdullah Abdul Rahman, Assistant Director of Financial Department at the municipality.
He said that the system will facilitate the procedure pertaining to the administrative and financial transaction, will limit paper usage, while also facilitating communication between local government departments and their customers.
The move, he said, came about after complete preparation and tests on different operations were carried out, while various training courses for end users were also conducted.
According to him, the execution of this system will create a common language among the local departments in the emirate, which "could be metaphorically termed as 'Financial Tree'".
