Fire at mosque

RAS AL KHAIMAH — A fire which broke out in a mosque yesterday morning destroyed the switches and power metre of the building, shattered window panes and reduced parts of the building to rubble. It took the RAK Civil Defence Department (RCDD) several hours to control the fire.

No one was injured in the fire which, according to an RCDD official, could may been caused by a short circuit.

And in a traffic accident in the Al Maireed area yesterday, three Indians sustained injuries when the car in which the victims were travelling overturned. Two of the injured were discharged after medicaltreatment while the third has been admitted to the orthopaedic ward.
