"As the Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, President Shaikh Zayed , thanks to his forthright vision, set out to build the capabilities of our Armed Forces on the basis of a multi-pronged, integrated, multi-purpose and encompassing long-term strategy. On the educational and training policies of the Armed Forces, Shaikh Khalifa said that the future would remain rosy as long as military colleges and schools continue to supply adequately trained cadres.

With these trained cadres the army will be able to maintain its defence capabilities and closely monitor the regional and global trends.

Shaikh Khalifa ordered the UAE Military to maintain its current efforts to keep abreast the rest of the world armies in terms of armament, planning, training and acquisition of knowledge and expertise.
