According to the agreement, BUiD and the Arabian Child will develop the standards and services of education for young children in the UAE, integrating global best practices into Emirati and Arabic cultures.

The first Emirati consultancy organisation dedicated to developing education and care for children from birth to kindergarten, it provides professional development training in alignment with the standards and requirements of its strategic global alliance with the National Accreditation of the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Through these workshops, it is providing affordable professional development opportunities for teachers, with the aim of developing the standards and services for the education of all young children in the UAE.

Dr Abdullah Alshamsi, Vice Chancellor of BUiD said: “BUiD is providing support and facilities to the Arabian Child for their work in this very noble and important area, which is currently being emphasised by the Government of the UAE.”

“This work that we are undertaking in the area of early years education, is crucial. We will be providing a good training programme for teachers and future leaders, working with children of all nationalities up to the age of eight years, with the aim of integrating the cultures of Arabia,” said Dr Tariq Kashmiri, Chief Executive Officer at the Arabian Child.

“We will be learning from the best international systems to educate our own community and inspire them to create our own programme. This programme must revolve around the child and teachers and must have the knowledge of child development to develop a child-centred programme for the ages of 0-8 years.”
