The Dubai Municipality is showcasing the most advanced technologies and electronic services developed by its various departments and sections at the GITEX Technology Week.
The Director General of Dubai Municipality Hussain Nasser Lootah said that the civic body is highlighting its latest developments in smart solutions and e-services in addition to a number of new projects.
The participation is aimed at enhancing the prestige of the municipality at local, regional and global levels, exchanging experiences with relevant parties in this global event which is expected to attract a large number of visitors.
Lootah expressed his pride on the “smart” achievements of the civic body and praised the efforts of the departments concerned and employees that helped to create an excellent city that provides essence of success and comfort of sustainable living.
Mohammed Abdullah Al Zaffin, Director of IT Department at Dubai Municipality said the department is completely geared up to showcase its entire smart services including existing, updated and new services at the Dubai Smart Government stand.
He said the Dubai Municipality offers 125 smart mobile services designed with HTML5 technology, which can be operated by many types of smart phone devices. These services mainly include three categories, namely NOC services, accreditation service for contractors and consultants and import and re-export of consumer goods.
The Private Cloud Service is designed to improve the efficiency of internal and external e-services for customers, ensure continuity of e-services and provide required data when a disaster occurs, centralize the existing multiple storage units to improve service and reduce operation cost as well as to ensure the availability of data storage spaces with high efficiency.
Makani is a strategic project developed by the DM for the Emirate of Dubai according to Law No (6) approved by the Ruler of Dubai to help all government departments, companies and individuals easily identify any location in Dubai and access it using accurate electronic maps.
New Amakin Viewer is a comprehensive portal for all geographic information and data covering the Emirate of Dubai. It provides detailed data of lands, landlords and geographic address information in addition to the building regulations and mechanisms to inquire about all geographical data for the emirate.
The CRM Service aims to connect customer service systems through a single window by the establishment of advanced and integrated database for Dubai Municipality customers. It helps to communicate with customers and collect their needs and demands.
Three services have been implemented as the first stage of CRM namely Enquiry about the status of client requests through a single screen, Notification services and Rental lawsuit services.
The CRM is aimed at enhancing the communication between DM and Dubai smart Government through the e-correspondence system, paperless correspondence, digital signature using Emirates ID and faster communication with less operational efforts.
