The 45-year-old Bangladeshi cleaner allegedly molested the Indian girl at her house as he was teaching her Holy Quran. The girl’s mother, a booking employee, aged 31, told the prosecutor that her daughter lived with the former’s mother because of her work conditions.
She said the defendant comes daily to her mother’s house in Al Qusais to teach her daughter and other kids in the neighbourhood Holy Quran.
However, the complainant’s 18-year-old sister who lives in the same house told her on September 14 that she saw the defendant touching her daughter’s thigh as the girl kept pushing his hand away. The mother asked the girl about the incident and she confirmed it.
