"For the NAB everything is good all across the country with the exception of the Pakistan People's Party," Zardari said in a statement after the NAB's latest move to launch inquiries into the alleged corruption by some more senior leaders. They include former federal minister Arbab Alamgir and his wife Asma Alamgir.
Zardari said one should never forget that history will keep the account of what was going on today and warned of dangerous consequences.
In a sarcastic tone, the PPP co-chairman said the NAB should better shut down all its offices in the country and move to the PPP's Secretariat. He said the NAB through its decisions against Arbab Alamgir, Asma Arbab and Pir Mazharul Haq had given credence to assertions that accountability was only to be faced by the PPP while all others fall outside the jurisdiction of the NAB.
