Craving for fresh lobster? Head over to Fairways at The Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort and Spa and satisfy that craving with a delicious treat of lobster flown live from the US.

For the Asian taste, you have the option of steamed or stir fried with black pepper, chilli, ginger or sweet and sour, served with steamed rice. If you’re hankering for the Arabian style, grilled or baked with Arabic marination, served with Arabic rice or fries or grilled veggies, will definitely be up your alley.

For those with a more continental taste, grilled, poached or pan fried served in thermidor style or with lemon butter or hollandaise sauce with spinach gratin, mixed vegetables or mashed potatoes are recommended.

GOING TO THE BOOK FAIR?

IF YOU fancy a leisure day out and a quiet night in, why not pass by the Mazyad Mall at Mohamed Bin Zayed City and browse through rows after rows of books.

The Largest Book Fair 2012, which covered the man atrium of the mall displays huge collection of books in different languages for all ages.

The book fair will run till May 5 and is open from 10am to 10pm daily and 2pm to 10pm on Fridays.

EARTH DAY SCREENING

ENVIRONMENTAL FANATIC or not, don’t miss out on the special screening of The City Dark, a brilliant film that is sure to cast reflection on the occasion of Earth Day.

Presented by the Abu Dhabi Film Festival (ADFF) and Masdar, The City Dark will be shown at VOX Cinemas Marina Mall on Monday, April 23 at 7pm.

The City Dark had its Middle East Premiere at ADFF last fall, when it was presented in the Our World competition. It features stunning astrophotography and brilliant animation.

Director Ian Cheney, who lives in New York, where – as in Abu Dhabi – the night is mostly devoid of stars, asks us to ponder what we lose when we can’t see the heavens every night. Through his conversations with astronomers, cancer researchers, ecologists and philosophers, Cheney encourages us to spend more of our waking hours in pursuit of the wonder and majesty of the universe.

The RSVP for the screening of The City Dark is now closed. However, seats may be available on the night of the event so you are welcome to come to VOX Cinemas 30 minutes prior to the screening and add your name to the waiting list.
