Abra operators commit over 160 violations in six months
DUBAI - The Marine Transport Corporation at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has registered 169 violations worth Dh19,320 against abra operators in Dubai - from January to June this year.
Hussein Ali Al Saffar, Director of the Department of Operation and Maintenance at the RTA, said the fines were slapped on the abra operators at both banks of Dubai Creek.
The violations included non-adherence to the regulations by abra operators, and boarding and alighting of passengers at different zones instead of the allocated ones, among others. - Wam
