130 new teachers for new academic year

AL GHARBIA (ABU DHABI) - Schools in Al Gharbiya (Western Region) in Abu Dhabi are gearing up for the new academic year and for the first time there is no shortage of teachers in any of the schools.

As man as 130 new teachers are expected to join the schools in the region. Of these, some are national female teachers, said Khalfan Eissa bin Rasas Al Mansuri, Director of the Western Region Education Zone (WREZ).

In addition, 31 teachers from Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Tunisia are set to join some of the schools on August 24, he added.

The housing units for the newly-recruited staff, located in Zayed City, Al Marfaa, Ghiyathi, Selaa, Liwa and Delma Island, are expected to be ready soon.
