Tim Cook has dropped by at the Apple store in the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai.
The Apple CEO was in India before arriving in Dubai.
"It was a surprise meeting with Tim Cook and he was at the store for a short time," said Dubai resident Kifayat Khan Swati, whose selfie with the Apple CEO was one of the first photos on social media that alerted local netizens about his presence in the city.
"People were excited to see Tim Cook; they were introducing themselves and taking pictures with him during his short visit," added Swati.
However, Swati had one regret: "Unfortunately I could not take more pictures of Cook."
Cook with Swati:

This is Cook's second visit to the UAE, since 2014, when he had met His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler, as well as top officials from telecom giant Etisalat.
During his visit to India, before jetting down to Dubai, Cook offered a fresh insight into Apple's future plans for India, CEO Tim Cook discussed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi the possibilities of manufacturing and retailing in the country as the two met in New Delhi on Saturday.
He also launched an updated version of the "Narendra Modi Mobile App".

Cook replied: "Thanks PM @narendramodi for a great meeting. Already looking forward to next visit to India. Best wishes on the app!"
