Universities in Pakistan on high alert due to terror threat

Four universities in the Pakistani capital have received terror threat. According to the Ministry of Interior, security on Wednesday has been tightened around the universities.
The National University of Modern Languages (NUML), National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Quaid-e-Azam University and Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) were on high alert.
Media reports said that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan supervised security arrangements at the campuses.
After Bacha Khan University tragedy last January in which terrorists killed 21 and injured 30 , mostly students , directions were given to tighten the countrywide security of educational institutions.
