BOLLYWOOD STAR JACQUELINE Fernandez was in town recently to attend the Dubai World Cup for the first time. She took out time to chat with City Times at her friend's penthouse at Palm Jumeirah. "I actually came to Dubai after quite some time to experience the Dubai World Cup and it was the first time that I made it to the races. It was fun and I love horses. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life," she said.
"I found out for the first time that when you wear a band on your head, it is called fascinator and not a hat. I never knew that. My good friends had invited me for the World Cup. I wore an outfit by a local designer from Saffron boutique. I feel the local designers here are so talented and creative. It was fun to be wearing their design. We watched singer Sia's performance for a while from the stand. I am a huge fan. I would have loved to go right up front and watch her but I was freezing. I was feeling so cold," she added.
She seemed very excited about her forthcoming film Drive with Sushant Singh Rajput. "Dostana director Tarun Mansukhani is making this film. I am working with Sushant for the first time and he is such a talented actor. This film has a lot of glamour, cars, speed and negative characters as well which are always fun to play. The plot has a lot to do with mystery hence I cannot give away too much. It will be a real cool joy ride."
With actresses like Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra heading westward is she ever tempted to look there for movies? "There are a lot of roles and films that are actually looking at female oriented characters, so I think it's a very interesting time to be in Bollywood. Also, in Hollywood, there is a recent fascination with actresses from the East working in the West. I think we are blessed because a lot of stuff are coming our way right now. As an actress, I think it is always a good experience to work in different industries."
Jacqueline implied that even though she is really happy with her life, she still wants more in her career. "Ever since I was a kid, I always to be an actress. I am blessed that I am part of this industry. I want to produce the best work possible and do justice to my career, myself and my profession. I want to explore as many roles as I can. Even though I have done so many films, I am still not satisfied. That is my ambition."

I have grown up reading Khaleej Times newspaper. I would really like to thank Mr Suhail Galadari for giving us this opportunity to talk to all of you and to interact with my fans through Facebook. It is definitely one of the coolest newspapers. Every time I am in Dubai, I make sure that I read my Khaleej Times. It is so amazing being here in Dubai.
I love your city and I am really looking forward to coming back very soon. Stay tuned to Khaleej Times for lots more.

On Nepotism in Bollywood
There's clearly a divide, but I just feel that it is unfair to judge.  I am part of the industry but I am an outsider. I think coming from a film family has it advantages which we outsiders do not have. But, I feel even us outsiders have our advantages because there is a certain amount of push that you give yourself. We also understand self-training along the way which makes us lot more smarter and aware. I don't think it  is fair to judge, honestly.

tour guide for BiEber
I am a huge fan of Justin Bieber. I am a 'Belieber'. I have followed his music over the years. I think it is going to be so exciting to bring him down to Mumbai for a concert this year and hopefully, he will give us time to let him see Mumbai through our eyes. My favourite Bieber songs are Baby and Sorry. I love him for his talent.

career high
I think one of the significant moments in my career was when I signed Kick with Salman Khan. It goes without saying that Kick literally changed my career. Post Kick things have been so different for me. To work with such a great legend and human being Salman was a great boost for my confidence.

On JudwaA 2
I am going to have so much fun shooting for Judwaa 2. I have to say that I got very good training from Akshay Kumar. I think having done four films with him, I learnt a lot from him. When I worked with Varun Dhawan in Dishoom, I realised that his comedy timing is perfect. I am looking forward to seeing what we can create in Judwaa 2.
