Sharjah announces temporary closure of Ali bin Abi Talib Street until August 29

Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority has announced the temporary closure of a section of Ali bin Abi Talib Street, in the direction from Hayawa Roundabout to Al Majlis Al Adabi Roundabout in the Al Bardi (4) area.
The closure will be in effect from Monday, August 24, 2026, until Saturday, August 29, 2026, as part of road maintenance and efficiency improvement works aimed at developing infrastructure and enhancing traffic flow.

During the closure period, motorists are advised to use the approved alternative routes shown on the map and plan their journeys in advance to avoid delays.
The Authority urged road users to follow the designated traffic diversions, comply with traffic signs and road safety instructions, and exercise caution to ensure their safety and maintain smooth traffic flow.
On August 1, the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority also announced the partial closure of a dual carriageway near the Al Hazanah area.
The closure will affect the section extending from Saeed bin Obaid Al Jarwan Roundabout to Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan Bou Aliyan Roundabout in the specified direction.
These temporary closures are part of Sharjah’s ongoing road maintenance and infrastructure improvement works, aimed at upgrading the road network and ensuring safer, smoother traffic movement across the emirate.
