Heavy to moderate rainfall has been reported in various parts of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and other emirates.

The NCM has warned the sea-goers in the Arabian Gulf to be cautious due to fresh-to-strong northwesterly wind.

In a statement, NCM said the wind will be associated with convective clouds with a speed of 60 kmph, leading to rough sea with a wave height of 6 to 8 reaching up to 10 feet in high today.

Fresh southeasterly to easterly winds will cause blowing dust and sand over the exposed areas, the NCM said.

The UAE police have asked motorists to follow its messages sent via social media, which will help them stay updated on new alerts and prepare for hazardous weather conditions.

Motorists have also been urged to monitor weather forecasts.
