The western front of governorate of Taez, south of Yemen witnessed heavy fighting between the popular resistance forces - those loyal to the legitimacy of Yemen and the Houthis militias and forces loyal to ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh on the other hand.
Skirmishes are still going on at Sirwah front - one of the last important areas where the Houthis rebels are stationed, in the west of city of Marib.
Sources in the popular resistance said that battles are on at Al-Dabab front and around Tabat Al Khazan, amid an advance from the popular resistance and Yemeni army loyal to the legitimate government.
Fighting has escalated in the city of Taez in the recent days, after military backup from the Arab coalition reached the resistance forces. The military reinforcements included a number of armoured vehicles.
Leaders of the popular resistance in city of Taez say that settling the battle against Houthis and pro-Saleh forces is very likely soon, especially with military reinforcements and air strikes targeting the Houthis militias and their allies.
Some sources in the battlefield reported that tens of Houthi militiamen and Saleh loyalists were killed and others injured during fighting and air sorties that targeted the rebels' positions in City of Taez and outside.
However, an informed source pointed out that the zero hour to liberate the whole city of Taez from the rebels' grip has become very near. Meanwhile, the resistance forces announced that they killed and injured tens of the Houthis militias in city of Damt of Al Dhale governorate, where some of their machines were destroyed.
Fighting is on between the resistance forces and the rebels in Al Dhale governorate as well as in the city of Ibb. In response to the legitimate forces' operations, the Houthi militias are used to targeting residential areas by aimless shelling, which caused death of innocent Yemeni citizens and injured others.
