WB approves $550m loan for Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - The World Bank said on Friday that a $550 million loan has been approved for Pakistan.

The loan is to be used towards education and the natural gas sectors, according to a Press release of the bank. The Punjab government will get $350 million to be used towards education and it is expected that these funds will benefit at least 8 million students in the province. The federal government will receive $200 million for the exploration of natural gas.
