Dozens of octopuses have been filmed out of the sea onto the Welsh beach in Ceredigion, Wales after 10 pm last week.
The brainy cephalopods were spotted crawling by a local tour company manager and a group on their return from a sunset trip.
"Perhaps it's because the sea has been quite rough recently, but I've never seen anything like it before. They were walking on the tips of their legs," said the owner of dolphin tour company SeaMôr Dolphin Watching Boat Trips to Wales Online.
"Octopus invasion,' as British media has reported it is a mysterious phenomenon and people are advised to return the creatures to the water if spotted on the beach.
A number of octopuses were found dead on the beach the next morning.
