US to cut car tariffs on UK to 10%, steel levies to zero

Britain's car industry will see US tariffs immediately slashed to 10% from 27.5%, while levies on steel and aluminium will reduce to zero, the British government said on Thursday.
It is part of an economic deal with the United States, the British government added.

"That is a huge and important reduction," Prime Minister Keir Starmer said during a visit to a Jaguar Land Rover factory in the central Midlands area of England.
