US charges 3 for violating Iran sanctions

Washington - Reza Zarrab, 33, a resident of Turkey who holds dual citizenship, was arrested March 19 and presented in federal court in Miami on Monday, the department said.

 A man with dual Iranian-Turkish citizenship and two Iranians have been charged with engaging in hundreds of millions of dollars in transactions on behalf of Iran and Iranian entities in violation of US sanctions, the US Justice Department said.
Reza Zarrab, 33, a resident of Turkey who holds dual citizenship, was arrested March 19 and presented in federal court in Miami on Monday, the department said.
"As alleged, these defendants conspired for years to violate and evade United States sanctions against Iran and Iranian entities," said US Attorney Preet Bharara.
