Two Palestinian children killed in crash with Israeli jeep

JERUSALEM - Two Palestinian girls, aged four and five, were killed when an Israeli army jeep crashed into the trailer of a tractor in the Jordan Valley of the West Bank on Wednesday, army radio said.

The report said two other Palestinians on the tractor were seriously injured and evacuated to an Israeli hospital, while two soldiers in the jeep were slightly hurt.

An army spokesman, contacted by AFP, confirmed that two Palestinian girls were killed in a road accident without giving further details.
