An earthquake of magnitude 6.2 struck the south west region of Turkey on Tuesday, the National Seismic Network of the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) announced.
The earthquake also affected a part of Greece — the Dodecanese Islands — which is located on its border with Turkey, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.
The quake was at a depth of 68 km (42 miles).

Meanwhile, the Turkey quake was recorded at 3.17am UAE time. The earthquake hit at a depth of 75.1km. Turkey's disaster management agency said that at least seven people were injured while trying to escape homes in panic.
The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency said the earthquake was centred in the Mediterranean Sea. It was felt in neighbouring regions, including on the Greek island of Rhodes, waking many from their sleep, Turkey's NTV television reported.
Marmaris' governor, Idris Akbiyik, told the station that seven people were being treated for injuries after jumping from windows or balconies in panic, but there was no immediate report of any serious damage.
