Trump says Putin has been invited to join Board of Peace

It was originally conceived to oversee the rebuilding of war-torn Gaza, but the charter does not appear to limit its role to the occupied Palestinian territory

US President Donald Trump said late on Monday he has invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to be a member of his "Board of Peace" initiative aimed at resolving global conflicts.

"He's been invited," Trump told reporters.
