Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has strongly condemned the blast in a Peshawar madrassa.
The prime minister in his tweet expressed grief over loss of lives and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
“I want to assure my nation we will ensure the terrorists responsible for this cowardly barbaric attack are brought to justice asap,” Khan posted on Twitter.
A powerful blast ripped through the seminary on the outskirts of Peshawar on Tuesday morning, killing at least seven children and wounding 70 others, officials said.
The bombing happened while a cleric was delivering a lecture in the madrassa, police said.
