Bhaderwah – An earthquake of moderate intensity struck the mountainous Bhaderwah Tehsil of Doda district triggering panic among people who rushed out of their homes to open grounds on Sunday.

The quake, measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale, struck the Bhaderwah belt at 1.22pm (IST), a Met official said in the north-Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.

There were no immediate reports of any casualty or damage to property.

The epicentre of the earthquake was 11 kilometres east of the town, he said.
