Pillion riding banned in four Pakistan Sindh cities

Sindh government on Thursday announced imposition of ban over pillion riding on motorcycles in four major cities of the province during the ‘chehlum’ of martyrdom of Imam Hussain.

According to Sindh Home Department pillion riding will be banned in Sukkur, Khairpur, Hyderabad and Karachi keeping in view worsening law and order situation.

The decision would be applicable in these cities during December 23 to 24 while a formal notification was issued on Thursday.

Sindh government has also decided to suspend mobile services on day of chehlum.

Elderly citizens, women, children, journalists and security officials would be exempted from the ban.
