Pokemon trading cards, which were popular back in the 90s, are making a comeback, albeit on the online market.
Years after the cards were launched, some of them are being sold for thousands of British pounds on eBay, Mirror reported. The more valuable cards are being sold for up to GBP 5,300 (Dh25,000 approx). The most valuable ones out there are the ones from the years 1999 and 2000.
Now, before you dig up your old collection, it pays to know which cards you should be looking for. According to collectable expert Tracy Martin, "shadowless" Pokemon cards are some of the most desirable ones around. They get their name from their design. "Shadowless" cards were printed before a redesign that added a shadow on the right side of the card.
Some coveted cards that collectors are willing to pay a pretty penny for are Charizard, Clefairy, Venusaur and Blastoise.
