The opposition in the Senate and National Assembly has demanded of the government to broadcast their budget debate live on television.

Members of the opposition in both Houses of Parliament staged walkout for the lack of arrangements to ensure broadcast of budget debate live on TV.

Senator Aitzaz Ahsan criticised the ruling party and said whenever the government found itself in a tight spot it then went ahead and aired speeches of opposition members live on TV.

Opposition leader in the National Assembly, Khursheed Shah, warned the government that in case it failed to allow live coverage of speeches by the opposition benches, the parties concerned will put their heads together and arrive at a decision in this regard.
