Syria calls for UN Security Council meeting over Israeli strikes

Syria has formally called for an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council to address what it described as the "consequences of Israeli aggression on Syrian territory."

The request follows a series of airstrikes that Damascus claims targeted military and civilian sites, causing material damage and escalating regional tensions.
