Saudi Arabia bans Iran's Mahan Air from flying into Kingdom

The GACA also banned the Iranian company's flights to land at the Kingdom's airports or fly over its airspace

The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation, GACA, has ordered the termination of permits formerly granted to Iranian Mahan Airlines Company.

In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, SPA, the GACA also banned the Iranian company's flights to land at the Kingdom's airports or fly over its airspace.

Within follow-up of the performance of foreign air carriers operating in the Kingdom, the GACA monitored a number of violations committed by the Iranian Mahan Company against the national regulations and relevant laws breaching the safety of international aircraft operators in the Kingdom, the statement explained.
