Qatar has ordered the expulsion of key diplomatic personnel from the Embassy of Iran, citing the Islamic Republic's "treacherous aggression" that targeted the country and "violated its sovereignty and security".
In an official memorandum delivered on Wednesday (March 18), Qatar declared the Iranian military attaché, security attaché, and staff working within both offices as persona non grata, instructing them to leave the country within 24 hours.
According to the Ministry, the decision follows what it described as “repeated Iranian targeting and treacherous aggression” against Qatar. The statement accused Iran of breaching Qatari sovereignty and security, in what it called a “flagrant violation” of international law, including relevant UN Security Council Resolution No. 2817 and the rules of good neighbourliness.
