Two individuals have died and another was rescued in good health after three vehicles were swept away in a wadi channel in Wadi Al Maawil, South Al Batinah Governorate, officials said.
Earlier, authorities had confirmed only one fatality, while search operations were ongoing for a third missing individual. Rescue teams from the Civil Defense Oman and local ambulance services responded promptly to the incident.

In a later update, officials confirmed that the third person has been found deceased, bringing the total number of deaths to two.

"To ensure your safety during rainfall, stay away from low-lying areas on roads, water pooling spots, and wadi beds," Royal Oman Police said in a statement on social media platform X.
