Popular desserts chain Blaban has resumed work in Egypt after what it called 'a hard ordeal' and 'difficult days' as all its branches and factories were shut down recently due to concerns on public safety.
The popular chain received a shocking blow last month as all its branches in Egypt were shut down in what it called an "unprecedented crisis".
In a recent statement on Facebook, Blaban said all its eateries and factories in the country were back to work as usual.

Related authorities will assume direct supervision on the restaurants, Blaban confirmed in its statement, saying that a sincere review was conducted.
It added that authorities will conduct regular checkup visits to give instructions and make sure all safety regulations are followed. I also thanked Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi for intervening to resolve the matter.
The Egyptian National Food Safety Authority has also issued a statement, stressing that a meeting was held with Blaban representatives to discuss the necessary procedures for reopening the chains’ factories and retail outlets.
"The chain representatives confirmed that all violations have been addressed and all required corrective actions have been implemented across all branches and factories," it added.
Before the shut down decision, the authority revealed in a statement that food samples tested from Blaban branches across the country's governorates contained harmful bacteria.
The tests indicated the presence of disease-causing bacteria, which is considered a significant cause of food poisoning.
Besides Egypt, Blaban operates in Saudi, UAE, Morocco, Libya, Jordan, Oman and Qatar.
