Israel PM Netanyahu vows response to Iran after missile attack on Ben Gurion Airport
The attack caused significant disruption, with Air India forced to divert a flight from Delhi to Tel Aviv to Abu Dhabi

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday promised to respond to Iran at "a time and place of our choosing" over an attack by Yemen's Houthi rebels on Israel's Ben Gurion Airport.
"Attacks by the Huthis emanate from Iran. Israel will respond to the Huthi attack against our main airport and, at a time and place of our choosing, to their Iranian terror masters," Netanyahu wrote on X, reposting a March message by US President Donald Trump also attributing attacks by the Yemeni group to their Iranian backers.

The attack on the airport caused significant disruption, with Air India forced to divert a flight from Delhi to Tel Aviv to Abu Dhabi. The airline confirmed in a statement on May 4 that flight AI139 was redirected after a missile strike struck near the airport.

The airline issued a statement saying, “Consequent to developments in Tel Aviv this morning, our operations to and from Tel Aviv will remain suspended with immediate effect till May 6, 2025, to ensure the safety of our customers and staff. Our colleagues on the ground are assisting customers and helping them with alternative arrangements,” the Tata-backed airline said.
It said customers booked with valid tickets between May 4 and 6 will be offered a one-time waiver on rescheduling or full refunds for cancellation.
Meanwhile, UAE carrier flydubai confirmed on Sunday that its flights to Tel Aviv were operating as scheduled despite the missile strike on Ben Gurion Airport.
A spokesperson for the Dubai-based airline stated that "flights to Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) are operating as scheduled," indicating that their operations were unaffected by the recent attack.
