‘Mastermind’ of Pakistan court attack traced

Investigation agencies have reportedly traced mastermind of terrorist attack on district courts in Islamabad which left a senior judge among 13 others dead.

According to media reports, officials claimed that the suspected terrorists is a resident of Dera Ismail Khan. He brought the attackers and facilitated them for the court assault, adding that the attackers targeted the judge Rafaqat Awan on sectarian grounds.

Sensitive agencies are investigating the incident and grilling relatives and friends of the terror mastermind in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s D.I. Khan town bordering South Waziristan Agency.

According to the forensic report, the mastermind was also spotted in Islamabad on the day of the court attack.

On the other hand, a judicial committee formed to probe the incident has formally kicked off its working. The body will record statements of judges, lawyers and eyewitness. — Online
