Long-term Dubai resident killed in Canada crash

He was crossing a six-lane highway to get to the other side after a morning walk when he was struck by a car.

Prominent long-term Dubai resident Jasjit Singh Jaaj and a former president of the Indian Association died in a road accident in Mississaga, Toronto, on Monday evening.

According to the police, Jaaj, 73, was crossing a six-lane highway to get to the other side after a morning walk when he was struck by a car. He was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a while after.

He was for a while also on the management staff of Khaleej Times at the turn of the century and leaves behind his wife and two sons.
