In a gruesome murder-suicide case, a renowned lawyer fatally shot dead his sleeping wife before turning the gun on himself.
John Liquori, 59, allegedly shot Cindy Liquori, 55, on Christmas Day while the couple were spending the day at John’s mother-in-law’s home in Windsor Locks, according to a report in the Hartford Courant.
Authorities believe that Covid-19 could possibly be responsible for the killing while the real motive is yet to be revealed.
Cindy had apparently tested Covid-19 positive while John was waiting for the results of his test when the killing took place.
A police source said that John first shot and killed his wife before laying down next to her and shoting himself, according to a report in Mail Online. On the day of the incident, the couple had gone to do dog-sitting for Cindy’s mother, who was admitted to a hospital for coronavirus.
The bodies of the couple was discovered by John’s brother-in-law. Autopsies showed that the duo had died from gunshot wounds to the head.
