KHCB opens its eighth branch in Zinj area

Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB), one of Bahrain’s leading Islamic retail banks, has opened its eighth branch in Bahrain in the Zinj area.

The opening of the new branch is in line with KHCB’s strategic plans to provide services and solutions that meet clients’ expectations and have more geographical touch points for their banking needs.

Commenting on the occasion, KHCB chairman Dr Ahmed Al Mutawa said: “We are delighted to be opening the 8th branch of KHCB .

Our network expansion is part of our strategic plan to have more presence in different locations in Bahrain to be closer to our customers, enhance KHCB’s channels of communications with them and to increase our market share”.

The new branch will offer all Shariah compliant retail banking services which include savings accounts, Al Waffer, current accounts, credit cards, financing products for personal, auto and real estate.

In addition to other retail services, there is an ATM with comprehensive functions to complement the services provided.

‘SMS Challenge’ winners announced

Batelco, Bahrain’s leading telecommunications company is delighted to announce the winners for the Week 5 of its SMS Challenge competition which is delivering massive cash prizes.

The competition began on March 10 and will run for 88 days until June 5.

Throughout the period there are numerous opportunities for customers to win cash prizes from $1000 up to $50,000 as part of the total prize fund of $161,000.

There will be 63 daily winners of $1000 cash prizes, 24 weekly winners of $2,000 cash prizes (12 selected in a lucky draw and 12 prizes to the top participants) and one lucky winner who will walk away with the grand prize of $50,000 on June 9.

For Week 5, the daily winners of $1000 each are Mohammed Saeed Al Doseri, Mohammed Ali Al Watani, Kollan Parampil Achary, Ghassan Abdulqader and Casmir Moraes.

The winner of $2,000 for the top player of Week 5 was Kassim Majeed while the winner of the $2,000 weekly prize was Mohammed Abdulla Hasan.

Diyar Al Muharraq attends Riyadh show

Diyar Al Muharraq, one of the leading urban developers in Bahrain, participated in the Riyadh Real Estate, Housing and Urban Development Exhibition (RESTATEX) in the Saudi capital Riyadh.

The four-day exhibition at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre was the largest annual real estate event in Saudi Arabia. Diyar Al Muharraq is one of the main exhibitors from Bahrain with an exhibition covering area of 120 square meters.

Winners of Al Hayrat draw named

BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, has recently announced the names of the 20 winners of $5,000 each in its March draw.

The cheques were handed over to the winners by Nada Bubshait, the head of retail marketing. The Al Hayrat draw took place on April 2 under the supervision of Suood Saif, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce representative, in addition to BBK’s internal audit, internal control and retail marketing and retail nanking representatives.
