At her weekly news briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, Foreign Office spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said, “prime minister and army chief are in contact with the Afghan authorities through different channels for improving border security and Afghan authorities have assured us of full support.”

Rejecting that drone attacks are being carried out in the tribal areas with Pakistan’s consent Tasnim said it is completely misleading and wrong to link the strikes to the ongoing operation in North Waziristan.
