undergoing treatment at a private hospital in the state's northern city of Calicut for the multiple injuries he has suffered in an accident, has improved.
Doctors attending on him said that the actor cannot be said to be fully out of danger. Dr. P P Venugopal, senior consultant and head of department of emergency medicine at the Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS), said there were impairments in his kidney and may have to remain in ventilator for a few more days.
Jagathy may have to undergo dialysis. Doctors are examining the possibility of giving the dialysis even while he remained on the ventilator. Dr Venugopal said that Jagathy may also have to undergo more surgeries as he had suffered injuries in his forearms, ribs, femur, lungs and chest.
“He may need an orthopaedic surgery immediately. The surgery will be conducted after examining his condition. The patient is under close observation for next 36 to 48 hours. We have made available the round the clock service of experts”, Dr Venugopal said.
Doctors said that the condition of Sreekumar was stable after he underwent a surgery on Saturday. - news@khaleejtimes.com
