Iran-US talks in Oman have 'ended': Iranian state media

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said 'talks will continue', and that for now, 'negotiators will return to capitals for consultations'

Talks between Iran and the United States held Friday in Oman have ended, Iranian state media said.
"The new round of Iranian-US nuclear negotiations which began this morning in Muscat with the mediation of Oman ended a few minutes ago," the official IRNA news agency said.
Iran and the US held high-stakes negotiations via Omani mediation on Friday to try to overcome sharp differences over Tehran's nuclear programme.

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said "talks will continue", and that for now, "negotiators will return to capitals for consultations". He also said that the "wall of mistrust should be overcome", and that any dialogue requires "refraining from threats."
The talks with US focused solely on nuclear issues, Iran FM said.
Meanwhile, Omani foreign minister Badr Albusaidi said "we aim to reconvene in due course with results to be considered carefully in Tehran and Washington."
