A brave 15-year-old girl from Punjab, India, fought off two armed mobile snatchers who attacked her in broad daylight while she was walking in a street.
CCTV footage shows the girl, identified as Kusum Kumari a resident of Fatehpuri Mohalla in Jalandhar, walking back home when two bike-borne men approach her. The man riding pillion grabs the girl's hand in a bid to snatch her phone but she manages to grab him by his t-shirt, dragging him off the bike, reported Tribuneindia.com.
The man then hits her hand with a sharp weapon so that he can escape but the brave girl does not give up and chases him again. In the meanwhile, a passerby along with other residents manage to overpower the thief.
The girl was admitted to a private hospital while the thief has been arrested and a case of attempt to murder has been registered against him.
