This is the final photo Indian expat in Dubai Murtaza Faisal clicked with his two-year-old daughter Ayesha Dua before she boarded the ill-fated Air India Express flight that crash-landed in Kerala's Kozhikode.
Ayesha - who had travelled to Kerala with her mother Sumayya Tasneemi - succumbed to injuries at a hospital in Calicut.
Ayesha was among the four children killed in the crash.
A grieving Murtaza left for Kerala on Saturday.
The family was living in a villa in Al Rashidiya, Dubai. Ayesha was known to be a bubbly toddler who got along well with everyone in the neighbourhood.
The mother and daughter had arrived on a visit visa on March 1, but were stuck in the UAE due to Covid-19-triggered travel suspension.
The whereabouts of the mother and daughter were not immediately known after the crash. It was only on Saturday morning that the family got to know about the sad news of Ayesha's demise.
Her mother Sumayya is recuperating at the Calicut Medical College.
