Hunger pangs defy place and time. It can hit a belly anywhere, anytime. And this is what happens when it does mid-air!
Residents living near McDonald's outlet in Sydney were awe-struck when they saw a helicopter landing in the lawns of the fast food store.
The pilot, apparently unable to bear the hunger pangs, landed the copter near McDonald's according to NDTV.
The incident - caught on camera by a resident - shows the pilot walking out of the McDonald's with a bag of food before taking off his helicopter.
"I thought it was an emergency," a person can be heard saying in the background.
"The landing was not technically illegal - if the pilot had permission from the owner of the land," New Zealand Herald quoted a spokesperson from Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority as saying.
"Was it unusual? Yes. Was it unsafe? We're not in a position to say until we've looked at the footage," says Peter Gibson.
The authorities are, however, investigating the incident in view of the safety of the landing and taking off.
