Undeterred by the heavy rain in Makkah on Thursday, August 21, scores of devoted Umrah pilgrims continued their sacred rituals, gracefully circling the Kaaba while raising their hands in heartfelt supplication.

Despite the downpour, the atmosphere remained deeply spiritual, with worshippers fully immersed in prayer and devotion, demonstrating unwavering faith and resilience.

Clad in their soaked white Ihrams, pilgrims were seen kneeling in prayer, their devotion unwavering as flashes of lightning illuminated the skies above Al Masjid Al Haram. The powerful scene captured both the majesty of the holy sanctuary and the resilience of the faithful, who continued their worship despite the dramatic weather overhead.

Saudi Civil Defence issued a red weather alert for heavy rain in the Makkah region, calling for caution and adherence to guidelines to avoid water accumulations, valleys, and dams.

Red alerts will remain in effect on Friday for both Makkah and Madinah, another key destination frequently visited by Umrah pilgrims.

Parts of the Saudi capital Riyadh, Jazan, Aseer will also be affected, authorities have said.
