Video: Truck fuel tank explodes in Oman; footage shows man on fire

A tragic incident took place recently in Oman when a truck's fuel tank exploded without prior warning, the Sultanate's Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority said on Saturday, January 24.

The explosion resulted in one injury. One person was transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment from emergency medical staff, the authority added.

Upon receiving a report of the blast, the Operations Center of the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority handled the situation quickly. The incident occurred at a fuel station in Oman's Northern governorate of Nizwa.

The authority also shared a video of the explosion that shows a truck stopping to fill up on fuel, when suddenly a bang is heard and a man is seen running after his body caught fire. Watch here:
