The UAE Embassy in Muscat has urged Emirati citizens in Oman to be careful as unstable weather hits the country.
A low-pressure system moving from west to east across the Middle East has caused heavy rains and thunderstorms across Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman and other countries in the region. Earlier, some GCC countries, including the UAE, announced distance learning and remote work for residents as rains batter the roads, leaving them waterlogged and complicating commutes.

The UAE Embassy in Muscat urged Emirati nationals to "exercise utmost caution and vigilance" due to the dangers posed by the unstable weather — including strong winds. It stressed the necessity of following safety instructions given by authorities.
The embassy also provided two numbers to contact in case of emergency: 0097180024 or 0097180044444. Citizens have also been asked to register in the Tamheed service.
